CLOWN AND CORPOREAL MIME

Ruthie’s physical theatre, clown, and corporeal mime work has graced stages internationally. Since 2020 she has performed in New York City, Paris, Edinburgh, Berlin, and Sarsina. Her specialty is in interactive comedy and physical storytelling; solo or ensemble. Since 2011 Ruthie has collaborated with Hybrid Movement Company, Panto-WHAT!?, Horse Trade Theatre Co., and Compagnie Commedia, gracing notable stages such as The SPACE, New York City Summer Stage, FEAST Fest, La Bienalle des Arts et du Mime du Gest, Clown Slam, and Plautus Festival il festival del Teatro Classico a Sarsina.

The Mystery at Ginger Creek was in residence off-Broadway from 2016-2018, premiering at Edinburgh Fringe and receiving 4 star reviews.

The Great Escape premiered in 2021 and toured Germany and France in festivals and street events through the pandemic. It was the grand finale at the Bienalle du Mime du Geste, Nuit du Geste in 2022, and will return to Berlin at Clown Slam in Septembe

Toi, Moi et un Histoire du Deuil (You, Me and a Story of Grief) premiered in Paris in December 2022 and performed with an ensemble through June 2023, using clown, the metaphor of a bucket, and corporel mime to discuss love and loss.
